Season Volunteer Jobs
JV Parent Representative (One or Two Parents)
- Help the coaches organize the JV meets. Combine heats, organize cards, and support coaches
- Confirm and organize other volunteers for JV meets.
- AWAY MEETS – collect times and give DQ information to coaches
- HOME MEETS – get runner cards (times) and DQ information to coaches
- Work with Varsity parent representative at Saturday Varsity meets.
Karakung Mini meet coordinator (Can be JV Representative)
- Organize Karakung Mini meet line-up and collect entry fees (coaches submit the final line-up/times).
Senior Swimmer Coordinator/Senior Day
- Get a list of senior swimmers from the Varsity Rep
- Compile senior swimmers’ bios for the Varsity Announcer on Senior Day (home) or the senior list, if needed, for Senior Day (away)
- Purchase balloons and flowers for our seniors, and single flowers for visiting seniors for our home Senior Day
- Gift wrap senior gifts for Awards Night.
Awards Night Coordinator
- Work with Otters Den Coordinator to organize food for the evening (eg, pizza and a sundae station).
- Arrange for decorations, balloons, table set-up, music.
- Plan activities/games (eg, diving for coins by age group, float time) following award presentations. We usually have about 30 minutes of activities or night swimming time. Be sure to confirm with our Manager and Varsity Rep before planning any activities.
Swimmer Gift Coordinator
- Work with JV and Varsity Reps to order team gifts for distribution at Awards Night.
- Help distribute gifts at Awards Night.
Otters Den Coordinators
- Work with the Otters Den manager to organize concessions for home meets. Swim reps will help get parent volunteers for meet day.
Photo Night/ Pasta Party Coordinator
- Schedule photographer for the team picture, to coordinate with Pasta Party Night.
- Coordinate order forms to swimmers prior to the photo.
- Distribute photos at Awards Night.
