About Conestoga Swim Club
CSC is a not-for-profit corporation that provides high-quality swimming, tennis, paddle, recreation, and social activities for our members and their families. We maintain a top-tier facility focused on fostering a safe and welcoming community environment.
Our History
Founded in 1955, the club was conceived by John “Jack” and Ruth Reynolds, who became our first bondholders in 1954 after Jack spent months gathering support and recruiting members throughout Radnor Township.
The “Blue Route” Move
In 1977, the club’s original site was relocated to make way for the construction of I-476 (the Blue Route). The old pool actually sits directly beneath the highway’s southbound lanes, and the current pool sits on land formerly designated as the upper parking lot. Using the funds provided by the state to purchase the land for the highway, CSC was able to build our current facilities, including a new pool, clubhouse, and both tennis and platform tennis courts.
